From optical design to tested assemblies. All integrated.
We design it, make it, coat it, assemble it, and test it. Whatever your optical challenge, we can handle it end to end.

Optical design
Designed for performance and manufacturability from day one.
Our optical engineers use Zemax and simulation tools to create designs that meet your performance requirements and can actually be manufactured. We're skilled in complex optical design from UV to IR, and we focus on efficiency in both the optical design and the manufacturing process. Spherical and aspheric lenses let us reduce element count and size while hitting performance targets.
We've worked on HUD systems (projector, mirror, combiner), AR/VR eyepieces, near-to-eye displays, low-light objectives, machine vision systems, biometric systems, interactive displays, and instrumentation projects.
Our engineers handle tolerance analysis, stray light analysis, material selection, design for manufacturing, and optomechanical alignment. We model system performance across working temperatures so you know it will perform as required.

Mechanical & optomechanical design
Optics and mechanics, engineered together.
Using SolidWorks and CREO, our mechanical engineers turn optical designs into manufacturable products. Our team has decades of hands-on experience with optomechanical assemblies for glass, IR, and plastic molded lenses. We design and manufacture our own mounts, fixtures, and tooling.
Thermal conditions, vibration, stress, and environmental factors are all considered during design. Mounts, housings, fixtures, and tooling are developed alongside optical design, so manufacturability and alignment are resolved before fabrication starts.

Spherical optics
Proven configurations for imaging and sensing.
Our spherical optical components are used in imaging, industrial, and dual-use applications. Our range includes plano-convex, double-convex, plano-concave, double-concave, concave-convex, convex-concave, UV, and IR lenses.

Molded aspheres, glass
Fewer elements. Simpler assembly. Better performance.
Precision glass molding for high-volume aspheric production. BrightPath Solutions uses Toshiba, Sodick, Engel, and all-electric Fanuc Roboshot molding machines. We support a range of optical glass types with custom mold development.

Molded aspheres, plastic
High-volume optical performance at injection-molded economics.
Precision injection molding requires specialized knowledge of tight tolerances, extreme processing conditions, and advanced control systems. BrightPath uses equipment optimized for precision optics: all-electric molding machines with in-process robotics, custom degating, and climate control.
Gate location, parting lines, and shrinkage compensation are optimized for repeatable optical performance at scale. Common applications include automotive cameras, security cameras and industrial imaging.

IR optics
Design through production across SWIR, MWIR and LWIR.
Infrared components and systems for SWIR, MWIR, and LWIR bands. Materials include germanium, silicon, zinc selenide, and chalcogenide glass. Manufacturing and coating processes optimized for thermal imaging, target acquisition, surveillance and industrial sensing.

Prisms & flats
Custom geometries and coatings for demanding optical paths.
Precision-ground and polished prisms, windows, mirrors, beamsplitters and filters in standard and custom geometries. Fabricated using mechanical and CNC mills, continuous and double-sided polishers with pitch and synthetic laps. Applications include beam steering, image rotation, wavelength separation and system protection.

Meniscus lenses
Compact correction for tighter system performance.
Concave-convex meniscus elements for aberration correction, beam shaping and system optimization. Available across UV, visible and IR.

Mechanical components
Precision housings and mounts for optical alignment.
Machined optical housings, lens barrels, spacers, retaining rings and precision mounts. Built for optical alignment, thermal stability and system integration.

Optomechanical assembly
Built, aligned and verified to spec.
Assembly, alignment and testing of complete optical and optomechanical systems, with full traceability. Our engineers utilize a variety of prototype assembly and testing tools to analyze, understand, and improve the performance of optical product designs prior to production.

Coating
AR, mirror, filter, and specialty coatings from UV to IR.
Anti-reflection, high-reflection, beamsplitter, filter, and specialty coatings across UV, visible, and IR, managed end to end. Resulting in faster turnaround, tighter integration with assembly and test, and quick iteration during development.
